I OPPOSE illegals from coming – NEUTRAL on the ones here

Please allow me to explain my point of view to all of you. I’ve been posting for a few days now, and it’s obvious that some posters don’t understand why I can contradict myself on this issue. Let me explain:

You’re in a hurry and have to rush to your work, you grab the gallon of milk from the fridge, drop it all on the floor but have no time to clean it. You’re running to your car and forgot to close the front door. After a day of hard work you come home, notice you left the door open and hope nothing has been stolen. Everything seems to be ok until you see 10 cats in your kitchen drinking from the gallon milk you spilled, and eating the beef from your dish you didn’t clean up yesterday because you were too tired.

What do you do ??

1 ) deport all those cats, but leave the door open, and don’t clean up the milk & beef

Or

2 ) first you close the door to prevent more cats from coming, then clean the milk & beef and after that start deporting all those cats. Or decide to keep a few cats when you know they're homeless.

What’s gonna be your choice ?? You see my point ??

We can deport illegal aliens but when we leave the border ( door ) open, don’t make sure that employers get fined ( beef for the cats ) or benefits for illegals stopped ( milk for the cats ), we can keep deporting but it’s not going to change or solve anything. The British have a nice proverb for this situation: “ Carrying coals to Newcastle “

My solution to this problem is:

Start building the fence ,and put the national guard on the border to prevent illegals from rushing in since they will try to break in while we’re building the fence.
Meanwhile arrest, and fine all employers that hire illegals, this will take away one reason for illegals to come ( the milk for the cats ). Then exclude any illegal alien from getting any form of benefits, no free education, no free healthcare, etc ( beef for the cats ). This take down another reason why illegals come.

This will result that probably even 70 % of illegal aliens will start to self deport. The other 30% remain inthis country and we can decide later what to do with them, deportation or amnesty. That’s why I keep myself neutral on this issue because even deportation is Carrying coals to Newcastle when we leave the border open, don’t fine employers, and allow benefits for illegals. First things first.

I should read some polling data, but it is probable that the vast majority of the 3 million granted amnesty under the 1986 law, and their children, are in favor of open borders.

In that Wall Street Journal article somebody posted here, an article that was a follow up to the raid on the Crider meatpacking plant in Stillmore Georgia, there was an interview with somebody who got amnesty under the '86 law, and then promptly brought his wife in illegally. Son of a bitch.

On one occasion, I have seen a Hispanic male and his son pickup an illegal day laborer for work. I suspected that the male had gained amnesty under the 1986 law, and then here he goes hiring illegal labor today, right in front of his son. I was standing right next to them in the 7-11 but if I had said anything I would have started screaming and assaulting them, so I walked away.

First, it seems that there are some presumptions to your premise, and it does not constitute a very accurate analogy nor does it recognize all the options.

However, in this scenario, I would get a broom and run all the invading varmints out of the house with sufficient gusto that they were unlikely to ever try to return. I would then slam the door behind them and make sure I was never this careless again. More importantly, I would fire the maid (the analogue being the government officials whose bad policies failed to prevent this situation) for her failing in leaving spilled milk and beef on the floor and not closing the door to keep wandering animals from invading my home.

O, I totally forgot to explain why I'm going to vote Hillary, knowing that she will probably ( not sure ) be soft on illegals. Whoever wins the nomination for the Democrats or Republicans, s/he will be a person that panders to illegals. I don't know about Rudoph Guiliani, and his pov on this issue, can anyone tell me, but it's likely that the Republicans will also nominate a person that is soft on illegals. When both the GOP and Dem presidential candidates are soft on illegals, I'll just have to start looking for their stance on other topics. I can just align myself more with the Democrats. I'm not going to vote for a 3rd party, that is splitting my vote, and that's making my vote worthless. When it comes to immigration I can align myself to Buchanan or Tancredo, but there're too many other issues I disagree with both.

April, who I like, told me that it's better not to vote for Hillary solely because of my anger with the Republicans and Bush in particular. I hope my text above explains it a little bit more to you.

I'm nowhere saying that we should give amnesty, all I'm saying is that it's too early to even talk what to do with the illegals already here when we don't even have a fence yet. I think there will be many more hispanics in thecountry by 2100. We have including the illegals already 55 million hispanics. Looking at ther birth rate, legal an illegal immigration it will be 100 million by 2050 according to Buchanan, and 2030 according to me.

You have only one case in which you suspected a person got amnesty in 1986 ?? This holds no water, as you can't prove that the legal hispanic gained amnesty in 1986, and it's one case, maybe even an isolated case.

Thanks for your explanation of your point of view. I agree we have to SECURE the BORDER and fill in all those tunnels and definitely big fines for all the companys that continue to employ them AND NO BENEFITS OF ANY KIND!!! !!!!

I think all of us are all sick and tired of all those "cats" hanging out in our country and endangering citizens, eating beef and carrying signs that say "Go home Europeans, this is our country." The majority of us want to make sure they all make it back to their homeland, although at times that may seem unrealistic considering how things have been going.

It sounds like you are saying that you do not disagree with the no amnesty stance, you are waiting until the actions of securing the border etc. are completed to make your final decision on amnesty and hopefully there will not be many left to deport or give anmesty to. It is good to know that you are going to take action to help secure the borders of your state. That is a good start. :)

As I also told April that I'm even considering to join the Ca minuteman. What they do is they go to the border and report illegals that try to break in to the border patrol. Here is the problem, first we must prevent new ones from getting in. another problem is that I live 9 hours from the Sd/TJ border. It's also useless to harrass day labor workers already here while other illegals keep crossing our borders, we need people on the border to help out the border patrol. I praise the border patrol for doing everything possible to keep this country safe, that they fail to do so is not their fault. They are not getting any help from DC.

If we build that wall, put the national guard on the border, take away ALL benefits from illegal aliens, and fine / jail employers, you'll see that most illegals already here will go back to their country of origin. This saves us deportation costs, this saves our face in the rest of the world, etc.

That with the cats was just to explain my point, and I think it was still on topic. Giving examples is a best way to explain your point of view to others. I used to have a problem with math and a friend explained it by changing the subject into chocolate bars, got my attention and helped me understand better. Those illegals were the cats in my example. Many people like cats and I knew it got people's attention.

Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. I do not disagree with the no amnesty stance, but my final decision will be based on how many illegal aliens are still in the country when we impose all my proposals. I think only 30% remain in the country, probably even less. Then we can deport them, and allow some to stay. There will always be exceptions. We have 10 million illegals, and if I'm president I think I'd be able to get rid of 9,9 million of them. The other 100,000 will probably be eligible for amnesty for humanitarian reasons or have an outstanding capablility that may contribute to this country. Deporting 100% of all ilegals is just wishful thinking and not realistic

We cannot do anything with the illegals in America until we secure our borders. Why is that Congress cannot see that?

People will not elect me because they think I'm too young to make the right decisions. I think that my solutions, build a fence, put national guard on the border, take benefits from illegals, jail/ fine employers are a good start.

In your replies like "Prove it" to what I said, you are similar to the way I used to be. First, you have to realize that I grew up in and continue to live in areas with a large Hispanic population, so I am totally familiar with Hispanics from various nations and who is legal and who is not.

So when I saw the Hispanic male and his son drive up in a car and I saw the person whom I specifically know to be an illegal day laborer approach the car, but they did not want to pick him up at the housing complex because there were people around such as myself- I knew what I was seeing. That day laborer lives in the same housing complex as I do. I have seen him many times. As luck would have it, when I got to the 7-11, I saw that car parked in front, and the man and his son get out of it. Then I saw the day laborer arrive and wait by the car in a submissive posture while the man and his son were in the 7-11. He looked happy to be getting the day job. I'll stop the story there.

Second, here is the way I used to be. I saw some Hispanic kids stealing a bike and then I saws some the police chasing them and catching one kid with a whole bag of tools (i.e. bike theft tools), and I saw one kid hide the bike they stole in an alley behind a garbage bin. But I still, for a whole ten minutes, was thinking to myself, "Just because they are Hispanic, why are these police assuming that they were stealing the bike?" Then I came to my senses and told the police that I knew where they had stashed the bike. You understand, I was refusing to acknowledge the reality I was seeing with my own eyes.

So I think by saying "prove it" you are just wrong. My suspicions are well-founded and almost always correct, especially since I started to acknowledge the reality I was seeing with my own eyes.

We're all here for the same reason, yet my solution to stop illegals is probably different from the solution other posts may have. But I think most agree with me that we must close the border, fine employers and strip illegals from benefits.
It's only Hillary that is an issue we can disagree on. The moderators will probably agree with those in red, but disagree with me on Hillary, hope that will not get mes uspended for supporting Hillary or the Dems in general. That's me, that makes me Cassie. I'm a liberal, but still want to stop illegals from coming, deport most of them already here, I don't support breaking the law, but I'm still a liberal deep in my heart and that's why I can never, and will never vote for a Repulican. I will try to find legal ways to end the death penalty ( example ).

I'm sorry Annie, I tried my best to explain everything in this thread, if people still can't see my pov, I don't know how to convince them. I was born and raised in the City of Angels, I know what illegals have done to that once beautiful, if not the most beautiful city in this country. I live in central California now but there're still many illegals here, they're all over the place. I work part time only, have my own car, and will have time enough to go to the border. I'll only do it if my twin sis joins me, but that's no problem, she is even more harsh to illegals.

Cassie, I would classify you as a 'liberal by location'. I used to think like you as well (except for the death penalty).

One last exercise.
Try walking down an alley in my town after 'they' get off of work for the day and are already drunk (or find a local infested neighborhood).
Pass by the nearest garage teeming with 'them' on your way anywhere.
When they grab you, just tell them (yell over the ranchera music) that you are a 'liberal' woman.
End result;They won't understand a word you just uttered and they will take whatever they want from you.

The whole reason we're supposed to allow illegals in here is to do the "work Americans won't do" which is AFAICT namely pick crops. Americans are clearly in the great majority in nearly every other occupation. Reading the articles on Alipac, I believe will show, that vegetables are not being picked in spite of 12 to 30 million illegal aliens here. Farmers are crying. Farm Bureau is moaning. It appears that the aliens fresh into the country will pick crops, but after the support groups get them signed up into our benefits system they quit that work. While securing the borders, I would start charging ALL EMPLOYERS (large and small) with fines AND jail time for a second offense. I would come down hard on the American employers so that people could not say that I was being mean and hard on illegal aliens and people would get the message that you can either run your business legally or don't run it at all.

I would also make local law enforcement check to see if a person was legal or not if they are arrested and then deport those people immediately.

I would also make a very clear announcement on TV (if I was president)
that the U.S. has laws regarding entering and that these laws are going to be enforced to the fullest extent.

Most people who are in the U.S. illegally will self-deport.

As for my solutions, they have been suggested all over this site. Do a little reading. But your silly analogy was pretty close to the mark. Without milk and "beef" on the floor, neither the kitty cats, roaches, nor illegal aliens are likely to clutter your kitchen floor. So:

1. Vastly increase the penalties for hiring illegal aliens and get out there and enforce the law to the extent that no employer in his right mind would take the risk.

2. Cut off all but the most basic lifesaving emergency medical treatment for illegals who don't have cash in hand or legitimate insurance.

3. Cut off food stamps and all other forms of assistance to illegals.

4. Clarify the already crystal clear legislative intent of the authors of Amendment XIV and eliminate so-called "birthright citizenship" to children of illegals.

5. Eliminate free education for illegals and their anchors.[MEd]

6. Attach criminal penalties with mandatory jail time to crimes most frequently committed by illegals, such as driving without license and insurance, identity theft or fraud, and trespassing on private border ranches.

In other words, clean the floor and the vermin will have no reason to come into the house.
